Global IT and HR Managers for International Automotive Company
The Client
Hudson’s client is an international automotive company headquartered in Europe. They build, manufacture and deliver advanced systems for the automotive electronics industry which manufacturers rely on to safely convey their passengers and efficiently transport goods.
The Brief
The client brief was to search for:
- A Global IT Manager who would head up the IT function and manage projects set out by the company’s corporate strategy team. Territorial responsibility included ten countries within Central and Eastern Europe as well as the USA;
- An HR Manager to be based in the Ukraine.
The Hudson Solution
The two positions required very different skill sets. Hudson’s proposal satisfied the client’s needs and met with the principles of Hudson’s core values:

For the IT role: In order to complete the project on time, Hudson developed a thorough understanding of the essential components of the brief – a job description, logistics of worldwide operations, manufacturing process, R&D background and which assembling processes had impact on the internal IT infrastructure.
Hudson recommended a recruitment methodology that combined both direct search and advertising. We compiled a target list of companies in Ukraine with well-developed regional infrastructures and IT Managers responsible for cross border markets. We also implemented a strong IT focused advertising campaign using both printed media and Internet resources. This expanded the reach to distant markets such as Russia and ensured a larger pool of talented candidates.
Results
Within four weeks Hudson had presented the Client with a shortlist of candidates for a Global IT Manager and HR Manager. By way of added value (and in addition to CVs and interview notes) Hudson provided the client with a detailed market overview, project updates, compensation and benefits advice and information on segmentation of the market.
The project was completed on time to the client’s satisfaction and continued to reinforce Hudson’s trustworthy reputation across Central Eastern Europe.
