Schering-Plough is an international pharmaceutical company that has global business facilities in more than 50 countries spanning six continents. The company has 33,500 employees worldwide and leads an active approach to research. The company’s net sales in 2006 were USD 10.6 billion. Among its many well-recognized products are Claritin, Lotrisone, Cipro, Intron and other medicines.

Schering-Plough’s office in Kiev has been operating since 1996. In this office, there are 70 employees who are responsible for the company’s operations for the entire CIS region, namely Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Tajikistan.

Hudson Services

In 2004, Hudson was contacted to participate in an exclusive search for a Business Unit Manager. Our recruitment specialists quickly succeeded in this task, relying on Hudson's unrivalled experience in the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market. Following this success, Schering-Plough awarded us additional recruitment projects, filling such positions as Regional Manager and Product Manager. Besides recruitment services in Ukraine, Hudson also provided consulting assistance for their Russian office location.

In 2006, Hudson Ukraine was chosen by Schering-Plough to provide Talent Management services. The company needed to develop its managerial team to perform at even higher levels of efficiency and productivity. Over the course of two years, Hudson conducted assessment centers in all CEE countries where Schering-Plough operated. During this process, our talent management experts reviewed the current strengths of Schering-Plough’s key employees and identified areas for further development. Using Schering-Plough’s competency model with counsel from our own R&D Team, Hudson prepared a unique match of competencies that was utilized across all locations of their company.
