Highly Confidential Executive Search for Top Manager in Pharma Market

The Client

Hudson’s client is a world leader in research-based healthcare products with an established presence in Kiev. Having previously worked for the company recruiting a Medical Director, the new project was the next step in ensuring a continuous and successful working relationship.

The Brief

Hudson was selected to complete a complex and highly confidential Executive Search and Selection project to replace a Head of Representative office for the Middle Asia market (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan). The post was based in Kazakhstan.

The Hudson Solution

Hudson drew on its experience of the FSU to research the market in Kazakhstan. Hudson prepared a profile of the market including the top international pharmaceutical companies represented in the region and produced a detailed report to serve as a template for further action. Items included were sphere of operation, contact details, executive structure, annual revenue, staff numbers, year of market entry, product range, and more. Following analysis, a target list was presented to the client with recommendations on those candidates of most relevance.

A selected number of individuals were chosen and then approached to identify their level of interest. Following screening, face to face interviews with the Client were arranged in Almaty. The top candidate was sent for the final interview at the Client’s European office.

Having successfully completed the search and selection, Hudson assisted during all phases of the negotiation process, handling the job offer as well as the compensation and benefits package before the candidate accepted the position.

The Result

The entire recruitment project took three months to complete – five weeks of which were focused on the search process alone.

The satisfied Client was confident they had employed the best candidate in the market and Hudson added another successful implementation of the CRM policy.

The invaluable references and experience gave Hudson the opportunity to win another international search in the region – an Executive Search project for a Head of Representative office in Caucasus region for another major pharmaceutical company. Both projects underscored Hudson as a major force in the sector and opened doors to working with other pharmaceutical companies in Ukraine.
