Nokian Tyres Turns to Hudson to Build a Fully Functioning Team

Nokian Tyres is a Finish company that has operations in many well-developed markets, including the USA, Western Europe, India and China. The company manufactures tyres and other related products, with a special emphasis on tyre performance in variable weather and driving conditions. The group owns sales companies in a large number of countries while it operates via independent importers in other countries. It owns factories in Nokia, Finland and in Vsevolozhsk, Russia, as well as holding contract manufacturing in Indonesia, China, Slovakia, India, Spain and the USA.

Nokian Tyres came to the Ukrainian market in 2006. It opened its first office and established its presence in a market defined by fierce competition.

Hudson Services

Nokian Tyres approached Hudson to build a successful team that would accelerate their leadership and sales in the Ukrainian market. Hudson’s first project focused on recruiting a Sales Director. Our consultants delivered a quality candidate who not only succeeded in this position, but was further promoted to the Managing Director role. With this change our candidate became our client.

Hudson was then approached to fill a number of positions, among which were six sales roles, a logistics specialist, chief accountant and administrative assistant. Hudson offered the right mix of people that became a fully functioning team. All of the selected candidates went through a rigorous testing program, provided by a consultant of our Talent Management team. Additionally, certain candidates were evaluated with an assessment centre to further understand their potential and capabilities.

Using our disciplined, custom tailored approach, Hudson successfully filled over ten positions for Nokian Tyres within a tight timeframe. Soon afterwards, the Managing Director of Nokian Tyres in Ukraine personally called Hudson to relay his heart-felt thanks.
